Wednesday is songwriting day. This is a new development.

I’ve been asking myself the question lately — what am I spending my time on? Am I dictating how my minutes and hours are spent, or are outside forces in charge?

A few years ago a friend gave me a copy of a book called “So Good They Can’t Ignore You” by Cal Newport. I devoured it, and quickly moved on to his other books “Deep Work” and “Digital Minimalism”. I was struck by the simple but very powerful concepts he wrote about, and started to make some changes.
